China Revealed at Times Square New Year's Eve

  The China element was under the spotlight at Time Square on New Year’s Eve again as Chinese-styled performances took over the 2015 Times Square New Year’s Eve countdown.

 Thanks to the Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA), China, with the 5,000 of years cultural history and spectacular land geographic scenes country, was showcased to millions people in Times Square that night and thousand of millions of watchers watching globally at home on Dec. 31, 2015.

 2015 was the fifth time that Chinese culture has been represented at the Times Square New Year's Eve ball drop celebration since the event began in 1907. all of Times Square was embellished with the color known as “China Red” as most visitors wore red scarves symbolizing “Happy New Year New York” and “2016 U.S.-China Tourism Year” which brought some warmth in the cold winter evening.

  When the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball first rose on the Duffy Square Countdown Stage at 6 p.m. EST on December 31st, Chinese and American officials delivered greetings while dancers from China delivered a traditional dance from northeast to southwest china showcasing Chinese culture from ancient to modern times.

  Ambassador Cui, Tian Kai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the United States of America addressed his New Years wish and said “Happy New Year” in Chinese to everyone during the opening ceremony.

Ambassador Cui shared holiday blessings with over a million people during the Countdown Opening Ceremony at Time Square.

Opening ceremony was broadcasted live on Multiple giant LED screens

 Themes of opening ceremony this year are to celebrate the U.S. - China Tourism Year in 2016 and to honor women who dedicate themselves in all areas, especially the great efforts that women have made in charitable activates in China from the previous year and look forward to the year ahead.

  All special guests exchanged crystal and Chinese featured gifts with the Time Square Committee at Red Steps after the opening ceremony.
