May 10, 2023 is the renowned Pencil’s “Principal For A Day” in New York City. Ms. Li Li, the Executive Vice President of the Sino-America Friendship Association, and the President of Cimagine International Group, was invited to serve as the honorary “Principal For A Day” at the Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts located in Manhattan’s Theatre District. This is the third time in 10 years that Ms. Li Li has been invited to serve as the honorary “Principal For A Day”.

Accompanied by the Principal Fram, Ms. Li visited the 11th-grade dance and theatre design classes. Celebrating the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, she shared the long-standing and vibrant Chinese culture with the faculty and students of this high school, where Asian Americans account for only 2.1% of the school population. Ms. Li interacted frequently with the students, and they were eager to share their thoughts, creating dynamic atmosphere. Ms. Li expressed her honor to introduce Chinese culture to New York public high school students as an honorary principal during the American traditional AAPI Heritage Month. She hopes to take this opportunity to enhance students' understanding, respect, and love for different cultures around the world.

Since 1995 more than 1,000 New York City public schools have opened their doors to visiting “Principals For A Day”. For nearly 30 years “Principal For A Day” has been one of New York City’s most enduring and prestigious way for business and civic leaders to get involved in public education. It is also an opportunity for schools to have educators and executives to connect in-person, to share insights and knowledge. Participants are often interested in learning about the ins and outs of daily school leadership or interacting directly with students and teachers. Until now, more than 11,000 past participants including leading executives from companies Google, JetBlue, ViacomCBS, Amazon, and JPMorgan Chase as well as celebrities such as Jay-Z, Frances McDormand, and Jerry Seinfeld to learn about the potential that exists across the five boroughs.
