The Suzhou Municipal Government of China and the Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) hosted the "GuSu Innovation Entrepreneur Program" Promotion Forum in Flushing on September 22, 2010. This program aimed to encourage overseas scientific and technical professionals to start their own business in Suzhou. The representatives who attended this event included Peter Zhang, the President of SAFA, Zhongying Mao, Counselor from the Science and Technology Office in the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York, Consul Jia Zhuang, Yaming Gu, New York City Council, and Xu Zhuliudi, the President of the Flushing Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Deputy Directors from the Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau and the Municipal Research Office introduced the specific plan of the Entrepreneur Program. This forum was organized by the Chinese American Business Development Center.
