New Yorkers Given A Taste Of Chongqing-China, A City with Mountains And Rivers

December 30, 2017: New Yorkers were given a taste of “Beautiful Chongqing, A City with Mountains and Rivers” in Times Square today, December 30th, as the 2017 Chongqing China Global Tourism Presentation put the focus on the city. The event included a photo exhibition, which displayed the splendid scenery and enchanting culture of Chongqing at a conference that promotes the many features of the city. More than 150 industry leaders attended, including Li, Liyan, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, Peter Koo, NYC councilman, Pan, Xiaopeng, deputy Director of China National Tourist Office, New York, Peter Zhang, President of Sino-America Friendship Association, Zane Kerby, President of ASTA as well as numerous representatives from travel industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines among others.

After the guests visited the photo exhibition of “Beautiful Chongqing, A City with Mountains and Rivers”, the presentation began with a video episode of Chongqing tourism. Through the introductory video and presentation given by the representatives of Chongqing Tourism, the guests were deeply impressed by the delicate landscape and special local culture.

During the tourism presentation, representatives from the Century Cruises and Chongqing Airport delivered promotional speeches about the city image of Chongqing, sightseeing in Three Gorges, presenting Chongqing Airport direct flights from Chongqing to New York. Winners of the lucky draw received gifts including round-trip air tickets from the US to China.

MOU Signing Ceremony

 

Tongliang, Dazu, Fengjie, Fengdu and Chongqing Tourism Investment signed the MOU agreements with Sino-American Friendship Association and tourism companies in the US and Canada, which enhanced the cooperation between Chongqing, the US and Canada in the tourism industry.
